Gavin took advantage of a trip to Devon to take a look at the station at Brentor, site of the station at Mary Tavy and attempt to get some suitable shots for potential backscenes for the club layout being built

Brentor

The Station building is still in place, this is a view from the front and road side. the platform shelter and various bits of railway paraphernalia and signs are visible.

Mary Tavy

Whilst there are two houses on the site of the old station it is not possible too see if any of the original building is still in place. The platform edge can be seen from the road bridge as can the view up the line towards Brentor

South of Mary Tavy station the road bridge still exists and an Exmouth plate layers trackside building can be seen

Backscenes

I spent a little bit of time looking at potential backscenes, need to go back I suspect as these are going to look too far away to work but they give a good indication of the the view from the other side of the Tavy Valley
